08017 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544) errors in basic adjustment it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake air heater "a", circuit high and leak in air intake system is the final reason of the code. |
08017 Possible Causes:
08017 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 08017 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
