The problem is about turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent and wait then diesel particle filter: excessive soot accumulation is the final reason of the code. |
07998 Possible Causes:
07998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses

- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
