The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr. run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground . On the other hand data bus powertrain, no message from transmission controller (tcu) will delay your vw fault. |
07983 Possible Causes:
07983 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 07983 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission control unit (j217), programming error
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
