Staring in engine evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck closed causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit high . On the other hand ignition coil 'b' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
07978 Possible Causes:
07978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07978 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
