07942 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed data bus powertrain, implausible message from immobilizer also charge pressure fan relay (j712), open is the final reason of the code. |
07942 Possible Causes:
07942 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07942 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management feedback signal "a"
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
