The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 2 or transmission control unit relay, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
07873 Possible Causes:
07873 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
