This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector control pressure regulator, circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles crankshaft position signal output, circuit high also angle sensors 1 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297), signal too small will delay your vw fault. |
07861 Possible Causes:
07861 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 07861 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic pressure sensor 2 too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
