This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission control unit (j217), programming error the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction or change secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
07844 Possible Causes:
07844 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07844 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
