This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to ground you can see the power supply (b+) terminal 15, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
07838 Possible Causes:
07838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07838 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger over-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
