Staring in engine activation 2-unit injector valve, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 4 main catalyst, effectiveness too low you can see the secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
078 Possible Causes:
078 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 078 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
