Staring in engine water in fuel condition the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance . So for next ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
07542 Possible Causes:
07542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07542 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
