07438 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system a/c request a, circuit high or change ignition switch run position, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
07438 Possible Causes:
07438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07438 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger, under-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
