07242 Description And Summary : |

When you open exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system bank 2, system too lean off idle you can see the generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
07242 Possible Causes:
07242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 07242 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management request input signal b, high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
