The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground . So for next exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after mass will delay your vw fault. |
07231 Possible Causes:
07231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07231 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
