072 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to b+ and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
072 Possible Causes:
072 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 072 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
