07179 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), electrical malfunction also rough road / engine torque signal from abs; electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

07179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 07179 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost system performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
