The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil cylinder 14, high circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck open and wait then valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, open or short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
07166 Possible Causes:
07166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 07166 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
