The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake particulate trap bank 2, efficiency below threshold or 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on is the final reason of the code. |
07164 Possible Causes:
07164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07164 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, internal resistance too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
