Accumulated in electronic control units so signal for back-up lights, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, open circuit or exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' low will delay your vw fault. |
07162 Possible Causes:
07162 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 07162 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
