This something to do with the intake camshaft timing drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit electrical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off and wait then throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
07160 Possible Causes:
07160 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 07160 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
