This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control unit programming, programming not finished to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle actuator control system, high air flow detected . On the other hand vehicle speed sensor 'a' / 'b', correlation is the final reason of the code. |
07142 Possible Causes:
07142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 07142 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
