The problem is about pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), open / short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), electrical malfunction you can see the vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
07142 Possible Causes:
07142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 07142 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
