07140 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so idle speed control throttle position, electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit low or change a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
07140 Possible Causes:
07140 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 07140 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
