07100 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground . On the other hand fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

07100 Possible Causes:

07100 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
  • Reverse Input Circuit
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 07100 Code

  • Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to ground
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
