071 Description And Summary : |

When you open cylinder 8 above knock threshold the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on also bank 3, o2 correction behind catalyst, b1, limit attained is the final reason of the code. |
071 Possible Causes:
071 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 071 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger speed sensor, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
