071 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault tiptronic switch up (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit range / performance you can see the shift lock, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
071 Possible Causes:
071 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 071 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
