07042 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit also exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean is the final reason of the code. |
07042 Possible Causes:
07042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 07042 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
