When you open data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module battery monitoring mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation or immobilizer query not yet performed will delay your vw fault. |
07040 Possible Causes:
07040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 07040 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
