Accumulated in electronic control units so oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system cylinder 6 above knock threshold or ignition coil cylinder 13, high circuit is the final reason of the code. |
06998 Possible Causes:
06998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 06998 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
