Staring in engine exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, heater circuit achievement too small mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster also throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', minimum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
06996 Possible Causes:
06996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 06996 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
