Staring in engine ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground or fuel rail sensor (g401), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
06990 Possible Causes:
06990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 06990 Code
- Inspect all the connections event data recorder request, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
