Staring in engine powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to b+ or throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm is the final reason of the code. |
06987 Possible Causes:
06987 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06987 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger, under-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
