This code were stamped on VW Engine case please check dtc memory of airbag ecu mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) . So for next turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
06980 Possible Causes:
06980 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06980 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle closed position, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
