The problem is about throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit and wait then fuel injection valve 2 (n367), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
06978 Possible Causes:
06978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06978 Code
- Inspect all the connections powertrain data bus, missing message from abs controller
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
