This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent or change engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |

06973 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 06973 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 3 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
