This something to do with the intake camshaft timing nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit also controller for radiator exhaust oh run (j138), interruption / short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |

06961 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06961 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle control: airflow at idle too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
