This something to do with the intake camshaft timing sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'k' secondary circuit, malfunction also fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
06901 Possible Causes:
06901 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 06901 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
