This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic pressure sensor 2, too high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), signal too high or change throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation is the final reason of the code. |
06889 Possible Causes:
06889 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06889 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation starter relay 2, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
