06857 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit low you can see the linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
06857 Possible Causes:
06857 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 06857 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 2 for cooling fan, short circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
