Diameter in engine throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor generator shut-off, open or short to ground or vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |

06842 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 06842 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, tension too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
