Diagnosing engine bar with evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to b+ you can see the secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
06840 Possible Causes:
06840 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 06840 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of central electric control ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
