The problem is about throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so boost pressure control valve (n249), mechanical malfunction or turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |

06796 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
