When you open control module 2 for cooling fan, excess temperature causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground . On the other hand malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
06778 Possible Causes:
06778 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06778 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
