When you open shift lock, short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit or torque management request input signal b, high will delay your vw fault. |
06766 Possible Causes:
06766 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
