The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake park/neutral switch input circuit or evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault.

06712 Possible Causes:

06712 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

  • Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
