This something to do with the intake camshaft timing signal line for fuel pump electronics, electrical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake ignition coil 'e' primary control, short to plus also control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
06696 Possible Causes:
06696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 06696 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
