06689 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more bank 1; system too lean at idle also transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
06689 Possible Causes:
06689 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 06689 Code
- Inspect all the connections idle speed control throttle position, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
