Diagnosing engine bar with fuel injection valve 1 (n366), short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start torque management request input signal a, range / performance and wait then secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |

06686 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
