This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant fan (v7), open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles control unit programming communication error also transmission range display, circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
06609 Possible Causes:
06609 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 06609 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
