06549 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on and wait then event data recorder request, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
06549 Possible Causes:
06549 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 06549 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'a' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
