The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1 also transmission mount valve 2 (n263), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
06538 Possible Causes:
06538 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06538 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
