06499 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low and cylinder 4 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault.

06499 Possible Causes:

06499 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
  • Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

What To Check After Fixing 06499 Code

  • Inspect all the connections reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit / open
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
