When you open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open or change pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus will delay your vw fault. |
06499 Possible Causes:
06499 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 06499 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission request torque reduction, implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
